Assistant Accountant

Our client one of Northern Ireland's leading Food Manufacturers growing year on year has a fantastic opportunity within their growing finance team as an Assistant Accountant. This role will play an important part in the daily finance functions for the site, assisting in the preparation of weekly and monthly management accounts. Moreover, the successful applicant will assist in financial analysis assessing performance against budget and examining key variances.

Main Tasks

• Assist in preparing weekly and monthly management accounts.
• Support balance sheet accounts reconciliations.
• Analyse financial performance against budgets and investigate significant variances.
• Support statutory reporting requirements.
• Prepare and post accounting journals.
• Produce and analyse weekly variance reports.

Criteria

• IATI qualified, part-qualified, or qualified by experience, with a minimum of two year's experience.
• Ideally has a background within a manufacturing environment - ideally within food manufacturing but not essential.
• Proficient in financial modelling, including pivot table use and data manipulation
• Skilled in planning, organising, and prioritising multiple tasks while managing conflicting demands and deadlines
• Ideally prior experience using Microsoft Navision/Microsoft BC.
