Care Support Worker

My client, a private healthcare provider based in Galway that specialises in individualised supports for people to meet their physical, psychological, and social care needs in an environment that encourages independence and promotes their rights and well-being.

Contract Type: Permanent, Part-Time

Contract Hours: 2x35 Hours

Cheshire Service: Galway Cheshire Services

Address: Merlin Park, Galway

Key Duties:

• Supporting with dressing/undressing.
• Driving or assisting with transport arrangements for medical, social, and work-related appointments.
• Providing mealtime assistance, including manual feeding support and PEG feeding where required.
• Helping individuals discover and engage in community activities.
• Provide support in clinical care areas when appropriate, including but not limited to wound care. Bowel management, insulin administration, catheter care, etc.

Essential Criteria:

• Hold or be in the process of undertaking a minimum of QQI Level 5 in Healthcare Support or a minimum of QQI Level 6 Social Care or a Nursing qualification.
• Have experience in supporting people with disabilities.
• Hold or be working towards gaining a Full Manual Driving license and willingness to drive for work.
