Trade Counter Sales Representative

This is a full-time, permanent role offering long-term career potential and development based in Newcastle West, Co. Limerick.

Due to continued business growth, they are now looking for a motivated and personable Trade Counter Sales Representative who enjoys working in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment.

Responsibilities

As a key member of the trade counter team, you will:

• Provide advice and product recommendations to trade and retail customers;
• Build strong customer relationships through excellent service and a professional attitude;
• Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently;
• Handle customer queries in person, by phone, and by email in a helpful and timely manner;
• Assist in merchandising, restocking, and maintaining well-presented displays;
• Support stock control processes, including stock checks and inventory updates;
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure smooth daily operations.

• Competitive salary €30,000 - €36,000 DOE + commission;

Criteria

• Previous sales experience is required; candidates with strong enthusiasm for sales and a genuine eagerness to learn will also be considered;
• Experience in trade counter sales, retail, or customer service is desirable;
• Background or hands-on experience in construction, hardware, painting, trades, or similar industries would be a strong advantage;
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
• Reliable, motivated, and customer-focused;
