My client a leading public sector organisation based in Belfast is currently looking for a Business Support Services Officer to join their existing team.

Hours: Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm, 37.5 hours a week

Pay: £14.53 per hour

KEY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop an in-depth knowledge of the systems/application architecture, to enable consolidation of data streams from all platforms to facilitate a central reporting function.
  • To communicate information effectively so that the target audience can understand and interpret the results thus enabling them to make informed decisions.
  • Liaise with PaLS Managers to identify and agree new information requirements and identify possible information sources to support strategic operational development.
  • To ensure that reports are produced within the agreed specified timescales.
  • To develop and maintain dynamic spreadsheets and databases, specific to PaLS.
  • To ensure that the month end/year end routines are run correctly as per agreed regional timetable.
  • Responsible for FPL systems administration to include security access.
  • To manage incident calls received via the information helpdesk and resolve faults logged on V-Fire relating to maintenance of users, password resets, information management, report production, systems administration.
  • Manage the permissions and file structures of the PaLS Staff Portal which is based on a SharePoint platform to ensure users have the access required.
  • To liaise with BSO Information Technology Services (ITS) regarding technical and systems matters.
  • To produce and present reports using the HSC reporting application software (eg Business Objects (BOXI), eAnalyser, JDA, iReports, Power BI, MS Access, Live Office, Sequel (SQL).
  • Participate in HSC systems groups/forums to represent the interest of BSO PaLS to ensure good governance around systems administration.
  • Monitor and control data streams to promote integrity and ensure accurate and consistent reporting.
  • Produce and maintain Information Team related procedures for all system process flows. Review procedures periodically to ensure they remain fit for purpose.

Ideally no more than 6-8 criteria in this section

1. University Degree or equivalent plus one years relevant experience

OR

A relevant professional qualification plus one year's relevant experience.

OR

Have at least 3 years system relevant experience.

And

Have experience in the build of Business Objects reports within the Finance Procurement & Logistics environment(s).

OR

Have experience in the use of Power BI reporting and Share point functions.

* Relevant Experience - This experience should be within a procurement/logistics or information services environment, and an advanced user of all Microsoft applications
