Job description

Our client is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join their team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in finance and accounting, excellent organisational skills, and hands-on experience with bookkeeping software. The individual will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and supporting the finance team with day-to-day accounting tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and update financial records using Intact accounting software
  • Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections
  • Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions
  • Prepare and post journal entries
  • Monitor budgets and support monthly financial reporting
  • Assist with payroll and employee expense tracking
  • Support end-of-month and year-end closing procedures
  • Liaise with external accountants or auditors when required

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar finance role
  • Strong knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles
  • Proficiency with Intact software is essential
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
