Job description
Our client is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join their team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in finance and accounting, excellent organisational skills, and hands-on experience with bookkeeping software. The individual will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and supporting the finance team with day-to-day accounting tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update financial records using Intact accounting software
- Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions
- Prepare and post journal entries
- Monitor budgets and support monthly financial reporting
- Assist with payroll and employee expense tracking
- Support end-of-month and year-end closing procedures
- Liaise with external accountants or auditors when required
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar finance role
- Strong knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles
- Proficiency with Intact software is essential
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
