Administrator| HR Department | 12 Month Contract | Hybrid | North Dublin

The Client: With headquarters in North Dublin, our client is a leading non-profit organisation that provide a range of crucial services to the public sector. They are currently seeking to recruit an Administrator on a fixed-term contract basis for 12 months initially.

The Role: As an Administrator, you will be required to support key functions within the HR department. You will be responsible for carrying out a range of administrative duties, supporting various teams across multiple functions including Training, Recruitment, Reward and Recognition.

This role is regarded as significant in terms of the overall departmental structure; as an Administrator, you will ensure policies and procedures are strictly adhered to and the objectives of the department are met while collaborating with other business units. The role will require extensive PC work, data entry and participation in ad hoc projects.

Hours of work: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday | 9am-5pm

Length of contract: 12 months with the possibility of further extension

Working arrangements: Hybrid model

Key areas of responsibility:

  • To provide day-to-day support to multiple units across the HR & Training function, ensuring databases are maintained and updated, in line with company policy and procedures
  • Ensure an effective filing system is maintained across the various units
  • Co-ordinate training and development programmes, maintaining training database and calendar
  • Support Recruitment & Selection process, providing administrative support across the hiring and on-boarding process
  • Support finance and payroll teams, ensuring administrative activities are completed in line with weekly timelines
  • To provide regular support to the head of the Department, to include meeting preparation, collation of data for reporting activities and any ad hoc duties that may arise

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a busy administrative role, ideally in a HR department
  • Proficient in the use of MS Word, Excel and SharePoint (experience with HR Software a distinct advantage)
  • Accurate, high speed data entry skills and good typing skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Strong organisational skills and multi-tasking abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to deal effectively with staff at all levels
