Cash Desk Assistant | Dublin 11 | Temp to Perm Opportunity

The Client: Located in Dublin 11, our client is a leading supplier to the retail industry and has a well established presence in Ireland. They are currently experiencing growth in the market with and due to an increase in business, they are seeking to appoint a Cash Desk Assistant for their wholesale business.

The Role: As a Cash Desk Assistant, you will be required to effectively manage key customer relationships, develop business relationships and provide daily administrative support to the department. This is a busy, varied role with scope for career progression and development opportunities.

Working hours: Monday to Friday - 8am - 4.30pm | Occasional Saturdays - 9am-1pm

The main duties will include:

• Handling all customer queries in a timely and professional manner
• Process customer transactions, ensuring efficiency at all times
• Process customer orders on internal systems and ensure orders are fulfilled within agreed timeframes
• Ensure compliance and quality standards are adhered to at all times
• Provide product knowledge to customers (training provided)
• Monitoring and investigating shortages on the cash desk
• Provide support to various departments on a regular basis
• Work individually and as a team to achieve targets

Skills/Experience required:

• Educated to Leaving Certificate level
• The ideal candidates will have previous experience in a customer service environment ideally with cash handling experience
• Experience in retail or FMCG sector an advantage
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to achieve results in a busy, target driven environment
• Strong computer skills including MS Office
• Flexibility in approach to working arrangements

• Salary €26k, increasing to €28.5k after 6 months
