Job description

We are recruiting on behalf of our construction-based client, seeking a highly organised and efficient administrator. This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of the office, with responsibilities ranging from financial tasks to fleet management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Invoice Management: Check the accuracy of price/quantity calculations, dispute incorrect invoices, request credit notes for overcharges, and record receipt of the same.
  • Material Ordering: Handle the ordering of materials as required for projects.
  • Supplier Reconciliation: Reconcile supplier statements and prepare them for payment.
  • Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure Health and Safety records are maintained and up to date.
  • Fleet Management: Oversee company fleet maintenance, including servicing, tax, and MOT.
  • Customer Service: Answer telephone calls and manage general enquiries.
  • General Administration: Perform any other administrative duties as reasonably required.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Previous administrative experience is essential. Experience within the construction industry and familiarity with Xero accounts software are desirable but not essential.
  • IT Skills: Proficiency in IT with the ability to quickly learn new systems.
  • Organisational Skills: Well-organised with strong prioritisation and workload management skills.
