Our client a large public sector organisation requires an Inclusive Football Development Officer to join their team.
Role: Inclusive Football Development Officer
Rate of Pay: £13.50ph
Location: Various Locations
Hours: 20 Hours
Duration: Temporary for 6 Months
Main duties/Responsibilities:
To maintain and develop football opportunities within disability football, walking football and other flexible formats of the game. The Officer will proactively work with clubs, leagues and schools to coordinate and deliver programmes and events providing 'FootbALL' under UEFA's sustainability objectives.
- Coordinate the Inclusion League alongside league partners.
- Coordinate delivery of football in special educational needs schools, in line with existing school bookings and in liaison with the Schools Team.
- Coordinate and deliver the McDonald's Inclusion Programme at partner clubs, and complete monitoring and reporting returns to funder deadlines.
- Liaise with stakeholders to maintain and develop initiatives in Disability and Walking Football.
- Liaise with team members to maintain strong school/club/community links.
- Deploy, support and supervise casual staff and volunteers for the delivery of programmes.
- Manage participant referrals into inclusion programmes and respond to related parent/carer queries.
- Complete session risk assessments and manage equipment and kit for inclusion sessions.
- Apply outcomes-based accountability to complete and maintain appropriate performance measurement, data collection and recording systems.
- Represent the Foundation at meetings, seminars, conferences and committees as required. Please note that this may include late evenings.
- Service the Irish Football Association's policies in line with its development plans.
- Adhere to and actively support, at all times, company policy and best practices in the area of security, with particular emphasis on the protection of sensitive customer information.
- Ensure that you are fully aware of the need to safeguard sensitive customer information at all times so that our customers and people perceive the Irish FA to be a trustworthy brand.
- Adhere at all times to all other company policies, procedures and processes.
- Any other reasonable duties as may be requested from time to time.
Essential Criteria:
- Possess 5 GCSEs (Grade C or above).
- Possess an IFA Level 1 Coaching Disabled Footballers Award or NCC. Alternatively, 2 years' experience in a relevant sport/education-related discipline
- Have practical experience (within the last 5 years) of delivering in disability football.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with proven ability to work effectively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
- Effective communication (both written and oral) and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to develop innovative partnerships in the community sectors.
- Be able to demonstrate strong computer literacy skills and proven competency in using Microsoft Office applications such as PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Outlook.
