About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Psychologist to provide psychological services across adult psychiatry, psychotherapy, mental health rehabilitation, and neurocognitive and neurodegenerative conditions. The role will suit an experienced psychologist with substantial post-qualification experience in adult mental health and experience working within a multidisciplinary clinical team.

Key Duties:

• Conduct psychological assessments and interpret psychological and neuropsychological testing results.
• Develop and provide individual, family, and group therapeutic interventions, including structured group therapy programmes.
• Manage a clinical caseload and provide professional and clinical leadership as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Supervise student, trainee, and assistant psychologists where appropriate.
• Consult with relevant clinical professionals regarding patient care and psychological treatment.
• Conduct research and contribute to service evaluation, programme development, and continuous quality improvement.
• Maintain professional records and ensure compliance with relevant clinical governance, statutory, health and safety and data protection requirements.
• Contribute to education, training, committees, policy development, and professional development activities.

Essential Criteria:

• Recognised third-level degree or diploma at QQI Level 8 equivalent, with Psychology as a major subject, accredited by the Psychological Society of Ireland.
• Recognised postgraduate professional qualification in Psychology appropriate to adult mental health practice, or equivalent qualification validated by the Department of Health.
• Minimum of eight years' relevant professional psychology experience, including substantial post-qualification experience in adult mental health.
• Significant experience working with adults presenting with complex and enduring mental health difficulties.
• Previous psychology experience within a hospital, inpatient mental health, psychiatric rehabilitation, or comparable healthcare environment.

Desirable Criteria:

• Postgraduate training or clinical experience in neuropsychology, cognitive assessment, neurocognitive disorders, or neurodegenerative conditions.
• Training in cognitive behavioural therapy, including CBT for psychosis.
• Training or expertise in another therapeutic modality, such as family therapy, DBT, schema therapy, emotion-focused therapy, compassion-focused therapy, or psychodynamic psychotherapy.
