Key Responsibilities
- Forecast demand and place purchase orders to maintain agreed service levels while managing stock investment.
- Manage open purchase orders and supplier schedules to ensure timely delivery and continuity of supply.

- Track supplier performance, including lead times, delivery reliability and responsiveness.
- Monitor stock levels across Dublin and UK warehouse locations to optimise stock coverage and allocation.
- Work closely with Sales teams on large project requirements, providing accurate availability dates and supply solutions.
- Collaborate daily with the Purchasing team based in China to coordinate ordering plans and resolve supply issues.
- Implement effective daily stock-control measures to minimise out-of-stock situations.
- Produce reports and analysis to support purchasing decisions and performance management.
- Identify opportunities to improve purchasing processes, supplier performance and inventory efficiency.
Key Requirements:
- 2-5 years' experience in buying, purchasing, stockholding or inventory management.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills with excellent attention to detail.
- A strong understanding of the commercial and financial impact of inventory decisions.
- Excellent Microsoft Excel skills.
- Experience working with an ERP system; SAP Business One would be advantageous.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- A proactive approach and the confidence to take ownership of your workload.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build effective supplier and internal relationships.
- The confidence to challenge suppliers and drive resolution when issues arise.
You will be joining a small, collaborative Purchasing team where accountability and teamwork are important. The successful candidate will be proactive rather than reactive, comfortable working with data and confident making decisions that directly impact stock availability, supplier performance and working capital.
If you're an experienced Buyer or Inventory Planner looking for an opportunity where you can take genuine ownership of a supplier portfolio and make a measurable impact, we'd like to hear from you.
