Staffline Recruitment is currently recruiting for an exciting permanent opportunity with our client, Cranswick, based in Cullybackey.
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Maintenance Engineer to join a modern, fast-paced food production environment. This is a key position within the business, responsible for ensuring that electrical, mechanical and automated machinery operates safely, efficiently and reliably.
The Role
As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair and fault diagnosis of a wide range of production equipment. You will work closely with different departments to minimise downtime and support the smooth and continuous operation of the production process.
You will have the opportunity to manage your own workload, identify improvements and contribute to increasing machinery reliability and overall production efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain high standards of health, safety and hygiene in line with company policies and procedures.
- Install, repair and maintain electrical and mechanical production equipment.
- Carry out electrical and mechanical fault finding and diagnosis.
- Ensure planned preventative maintenance schedules are completed accurately and on time.
- Provide technical support to production and other departments.
- Maintain site infrastructure and equipment to a high standard.
- Identify and implement solutions to improve machine reliability and quality.
- Use the on-site CMMS system to support maintenance activities and drive improvements.
- Ensure all work complies with food safety, quality, legal and environmental requirements.
- Work effectively with colleagues and other departments to minimise production downtime.
Essential Criteria
- Time-served Electrical and Mechanical Engineer.
- Minimum of 2 years' recent experience in an industrial engineering environment, preferably within a high-volume production setting.
- Experience working in a fast-paced and challenging environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Proven experience in electrical/mechanical fault finding.
- Experience working with electrical control panels.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Highly motivated, reliable and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
Hours of Work
40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
The exact shift pattern will be confirmed at interview. Flexibility may be required to meet operational requirements.
