Hours: 40 hours per week

Pay Rate / Salary: €80,000-€90,000

Contract Type: Permanent

About the Role:

We are recruiting for an experienced Supervising Pharmacist to join a well-established community pharmacy in Tuam, Galway. This role would suit a motivated pharmacist who is passionate about patient care and enjoys working as part of a busy, professional pharmacy team. The Supervising Pharmacist will take responsibility for the professional and operational running of the pharmacy.

Key Duties:

  • Safely and accurately dispense prescriptions and provide professional advice to patients and customers.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, PSI requirements, professional standards and company procedures.
  • Lead, support and develop the pharmacy team.
  • Maintain high standards of patient care and customer service.
  • Manage pharmacy stock, ordering, storage, monitoring and pharmacy claims.
  • Maintain accurate records, complete audits and risk assessments, and ensure SOPs are followed.
  • Keep up to date with pharmacy legislation, PSI guidance and best practice.
  • Support professional pharmacy services, healthcare initiatives and the overall operational performance of the pharmacy.

Essential Criteria:

  • Recognised Pharmacy qualification, including BSc Pharmacy, MPharm or equivalent.
  • Current registration with the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland (PSI).
  • Minimum 3 years' post-registration experience.
  • Previous experience in a community pharmacy environment.
  • Strong knowledge of pharmacy legislation, professional standards and community pharmacy services.
