Working Days: Rotating Monday-Wednesday and Thursday-Saturday

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and reliable Shunter Driver to join our team. You will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of vehicles and trailers around our site, ensuring operations run smoothly and safely.

This is a 3-on/4-off shift pattern, with working days rotating between Monday-Wednesday and Thursday-Saturday. Saturday working is an essential requirement of the role, so applicants must be comfortable and available to work Saturdays as part of the regular rota.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely shunt vehicles and trailers around the site.
• Position vehicles accurately for loading, unloading and operational requirements.
• Carry out vehicle and trailer safety checks.
• Follow all site traffic management procedures and health & safety requirements.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues, drivers and the wider transport team.
• Report any defects, incidents or safety concerns promptly.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment.
• Complete relevant paperwork and operational records.

What We're Looking For

• Valid CE driving licence & CPC's.
• Previous shunting, yard or transport experience preferred.
• Good awareness of vehicle and site safety.
• Reliable, punctual and safety-conscious approach.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work the required rota, including Saturdays.

Shift Pattern

The role operates 38.5 hours per week on a 3 days on / 4 days off rota, with working days scheduled across:

7am to 730pm with 2 x 30 minute paid breaks

Monday - Wednesday

Thursday - Saturday

The rota will include regular Saturday working. Applicants should only apply if they are able to commit to the full shift pattern and Saturday requirement.
