Commercial Management Accountant

Staffline Recruitment Ireland are hiring on behalf of our client for an experienced Commercial Management Accountant to join their Finance team on a permanent, full-time basis based in Castleblaney.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded finance professional to join a successful and growing business, working closely with the Head of Finance and wider management team.

The successful candidate will provide accurate and timely management information, financial analysis and commercial insight to support business performance and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports.
• Manage month-end processes including accruals, prepayments and reconciliations.
• Analyse actual performance against budgets and forecasts.
• Prepare detailed variance analysis and communicate key financial movements.
• Support annual budgeting and ongoing forecasting.
• Prepare and maintain financial models and management reporting packs.
• Provide commercial analysis to support operational and strategic decision-making.
• Manage product costing, including standard and actual costs.
• Analyse production yields, waste and spoilage.
• Analyse stock movements, adjustments and slow/obsolete stock.
• Report on profitability and margins by product, customer and category.
• Provide costing information to support customer pricing.
• Assist with weekly sales reporting and ad hoc commercial analysis.
• Work closely with Commercial, Operations and Supply Chain teams.
• Support the development of business intelligence and reporting systems.
• Ensure the integrity and accuracy of ERP, inventory and purchasing systems.
• Provide clear financial information and insight to non-financial stakeholders.

Skills & Experience

• Qualified or part-qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years' relevant finance or management accounting experience.
• Strong management accounts and financial reporting experience.
• Excellent Excel skills, including PivotTables, Lookups and financial modelling.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
• Strong commercial and analytical skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Experience working to tight month-end deadlines.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain financial information clearly.
• Experience working with commercial, operational or supply chain teams.
• Experience with ERP/accounting systems.
• Manufacturing or food production experience would be highly advantageous.
• Power BI or business intelligence experience would be an advantage.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
