Leasehold Officer

Location: Housing Centre, Belfast
Pay Rate: £14.35 per hour
Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm
Contract: Temporary, 1 September 2026 to 30 November 2026
Organisation: Northern Ireland Housing Executive

We are currently recruiting for a Leasehold Officer to join the Housing Services Central Unit within the Housing Executive.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced administrator with strong customer service and IT skills to support the Leasehold Unit and work closely with a range of internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Deliver a high standard of internal and external customer service.
  • Take ownership of customer queries and complaints, ensuring issues are followed through to completion.
  • Ensure compliance with Housing Executive frameworks, policies and procedures.
  • Adhere to legal and organisational requirements, including equality, health and safety, and information governance.
  • Promote and implement Housing Executive policies, plans and procedures, ensuring requirements and timescales are met.
  • Maintain and develop personal knowledge and skills to continually enhance customer service.
  • Carry out general administrative duties and support the effective operation of the Leasehold Unit.

Essential Criteria

Candidates must have intermediate IT proficiency and meet one of the following criteria:

  • A BTEC Higher or equivalent qualification, plus at least one year's relevant general administrative experience; or
  • A BTEC National or equivalent qualification, plus at least two years' relevant general administrative experience.

Relevant general administrative experience must have been gained within an office-based environment and include experience in at least one of the following areas:

  • Investigatory responsibilities
  • Customer care responsibilities
  • The use and maintenance of information systems

Additional Information

  • Start Date: 1 September 2026
  • End Date: 30 November 2026
  • Grade: B4
  • Security Check: Basic Access NI required
  • Holiday Entitlement: 23 days plus 12 public holidays, pro rata for the duration of the assignment
