Location: Genesis Bakery, Magherafelt
Position: Hygiene Operative - Washroom
Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 10:00am - 8:00pm
Pay Rate: £13.05 per hour

Job Purpose:

We are currently recruiting for a Hygiene Operative - Washroom to join our client's team at Genesis Bakery in Magherafelt. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that bakery equipment, utensils, and production items are cleaned and sanitised to the highest hygiene standards, supporting the smooth operation of the production process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cleaning and sanitising bakery equipment, including mixers, kettles, and other production machinery.

• Operating an industrial wash machine to clean moulds, baking pans, trays, baskets, and other production equipment.

• Ensuring all equipment is cleaned thoroughly and ready for production use.

• Following cleaning schedules and hygiene procedures in line with company standards.

• Using cleaning chemicals and equipment safely in accordance with COSHH guidelines.

• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised washroom area.

• Following all Health & Safety, Food Safety, and Hygiene procedures at all times.

• Working efficiently to meet production and cleaning deadlines.

Skills & Experience:

• Previous experience in a hygiene, cleaning, or food production environment is desirable but not essential.

• Ability to work in a physically demanding role.

• Good attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high hygiene standards.

• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.

• Willingness to learn and follow company procedures.
