Rate of pay: £14.52 per hour

The Client: Based in Council offices in Newry this post will work across the Council District of Newry, Mourne and Down District Council.

The Role:

In light of the on-going Reform of Local Government and the establishment of the new Newry, Mourne and Down District Council, it is expected that role will evolve and transform with on-going changes. The post holder will therefore be expected to be flexible and adaptable to meet the changing needs and requirements of the organisation, and duties and responsibilities may vary without changing the purpose of the job or level of responsibility.

Hours of work: 37 hrs per week

Requirements:

• HGV Class 2 Licence & valid CPC & digicard
• At least 6 months' experience dealing with the public in a face-to-face customer focused role
• Awareness of Health & Safety issues in relation to manual handling, & working with mechanical equipment while in the presence of the public & traffic
• Ability to work on own initiative while working as part of a team
• Ability to maintain work written records
• Hold a full valid driving licence & have access to transport to meet the requirements of the post OR have access to a mode of transport that will enable the post holder to fulfil the role in full
• Ability to work a shift pattern including evenings, weekends & public/bank holidays
