ELECTRICAL DESIGN ENGINEER | KILKENNY/HYBRID | PERMANENT

We are looking for an experienced Design Engineer (Elec) to join our client's team in Kilkenny.

THE ROLE |

You will drive electrical design projects across water and wastewater project sectors. You will work alongside multidisciplinary teams, engineers, and deliver innovative, sustainable solutions from concept to handover.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES|

• Design electrical systems for water and wastewater projects.
• Prepare technical designs, drawings, and schedules.
• Design control panels and electrical distribution systems.
• Review client specifications and liaise with ESB and project stakeholders.
• Support procurement and evaluate suppliers.
• Collaborate with design, contracts, and automation teams.
• Travel to site occasionally as required to support design activities

REQUIREMENTS|

• Degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
• Previous experience in electrical design engineering
• Strong background/ knowledge in water/wastewater treatment projects
• Solid understanding of hydraulic design and system performance
• Experience with engineering design software and calculation tools
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Familiarity with relevant Irish/UK water industry standards
