CNC Operator - Vertiv - Derry/Londonderry
Location: Derry/Londonderry
Hours: Monday-Thursday 8am-5pm | Friday 8am-2:30pm
Must be flexible for shifts Mon - Fri 6am - 2pm, 2pm - 10pm and 10pm - 6am
Contract: Permanent | Full Time
Pay Rate: £14.30 - £16.12 per hr + Shift Allowance + Bonus Scheme + Overtime
Staffline Recruitment Ireland is recruiting a CNC Operator on behalf of Vertiv in Derry/Londonderry.
This permanent opportunity is ideal for an experienced CNC Operator seeking long-term career progression within a leading manufacturing environment.
The Role
You will play a key role in the manufacture of modular components for Electrical Switchgear systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up, program, and operate CNC Punching and Robotic Bending machines.
- Manufacture precision components for LV & MV switchgear systems.
- Adjust machine settings including speeds and feeds based on technical drawings and specifications.
- Load and unload materials while ensuring dimensional accuracy.
- Carry out detailed quality inspections against 3D models and engineering drawings.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot CNC machinery issues.
- Collaborate with engineering, welding, and assembly teams to meet production targets.
- Follow all health & safety procedures and PPE requirements.
- Maintain accurate machine settings, maintenance logs, and production records.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations.
Essential Criteria
- Minimum 1 year experience operating CNC machinery in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
- Strong CNC programming, operating, and troubleshooting capability.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics.
- Experience working with sheet metal fabrication processes.
- Strong problem-solving ability with a proactive approach.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
