About the Role
Our client is seeking an Accountant to join their friendly and professional team. Key Responsibilities
- Preparing and reconciling accounts, including balance sheet reconciliations.
- Preparing a range of tax returns for individuals and partnerships.
- Assisting with compliance requirements, including Making Tax Digital (MTD) for Income Tax obligations.
- Providing administrative support to the accounting team.
- Supporting senior accountants with client work and ad hoc assignments.
- Undertaking general office duties as required.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- An Accounting Technician qualification or be qualified through relevant practical experience.
- A minimum of 2 years' experience working in an accounting environment, ideally within an accountancy practice.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Experience with, or familiarity with, payroll systems and accounting/tax software (advantageous but not essential).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with both clients and colleagues.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
