HSE-Multi Task Attendant

Job Type: Temporary, Contract.

Position: MTA (Multi-Task Attendants)

This Role will consist of front-line Caring, Cleaning, catering, and Portering support to all service areas, providing direct and indirect patient care and working within other front-line support services.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the delivery of care and activities under the supervision and direction of nursing or another professional staff/designated manager.
• Preparation, distribution and serving of food and delivery of catering services following HACCP procedures and food safety standards.
• Personal care of patients/ residents/ service users under the direction of a nurse/relevant manager/professional.
• Transport medical records, equipment, medicines, stores, etc., within or outside the service when necessary.
• Assist with general portering duties relevant to the specific ward/service.
• Carry out cleaning/household, laundry, and waste management duties appropriate to the relevant area.
• communicate with patients and colleagues professionally and respectfully.
• Work within your own role, adhering to current legislation, policies, and procedures.

Requirements

• QQI Level 5 Healthcare qualification or equivalent.
• Training in Food Preparation, Catering, HACCP, Health & Safety and Manual Handling.
• Experience in a hospital or healthcare environment (desirable)
• Knowledge of food preparation and Health & Safety regulations (desirable
• Demonstrate ability to work under direction or as part of a team
