Refrigeration Service Engineer - Field Based

A leading provider of equipment and cold storage solutions is currently seeking an experienced Refrigeration Service Engineer to join their growing service team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified engineer who enjoys working in a field-based role, delivering high-quality service and maintenance support to customers across a range of industries.

The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for the service, maintenance and repair of refrigeration equipment at customer sites while ensuring the highest standards of safety and customer service.

Key responsibilities include:

• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance and repair work on refrigeration equipment at customer locations

• Diagnosing faults and completing repairs efficiently

• Managing van stock and ordering parts when required

• Maintaining accurate service reports and job documentation

• Liaising with internal teams and customers to ensure work schedules are met

• Following all health & safety procedures and site requirements

• Attending occasional site visits with sales or account teams when required

• Ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction on all service work

Requirements

To be considered for this role you should have:

• A completed apprenticeship and National Craft Certificate in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning

• Minimum 3 years' post-apprenticeship experience

• F-Gas certification (C&G 2079 or equivalent)

• Experience working on commercial or industrial refrigeration systems

• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills

• Good communication and customer service skills

• Basic computer literacy for reporting and service records

• Full clean driver's licence

Experience working in transport refrigeration or temperature-controlled environments would be a strong advantage.
