Assistant Scientific Officer
Location: Hillsborough
Hours: Full-time, 37 hours per week over 5 days (0900-1700)
Duration: 51 weeks
Salary: £13.75 per hour

Sponsored by the Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs (DAERA), AFBI provides evidence-based research and monitoring that informs government policy and promotes sustainability in Northern Ireland and beyond.
Job Role
Work in animal and grassland studies, with responsibilities including feed preparation, sample collection and preparation, monitoring animal behaviour, grass growth management, grazing arrangement and any other roles relating to animal and grassland studies. Work on weekends and bank holidays may be required.
Essential Criteria
- 5 GCSE's (equivalent or higher) to include Science, Mathematics and English Language at Grades A* to C
- 6 months experience with livestock
