The Client: Local body based in Downpatrick, serving local residents.

The Role:

The main purpose of the job is to manage and develop a comprehensive and flexible Administrative Business Support Service and Business Support Team for the allocated department and operative cross-departmentally as required to ensure effective, coordinated implementation of business support service standards and procedures across the council.

To contribute as an integral member of the team to the provision of a modern, professional, high quality and responsive business support and customer focused service to support the Corporate and Business Plans of Newry, Mourne and Down District Council.

Hours of work: 36 hrs per week

Requirements:

It is essential that applicants have a minimum of:

• A third level qualification e.g. (Degree or NVQ level 4, HNC, HND qualification) in Business Administration, Business Management, or a related discipline

• Three years relevant experience in a same/similar role to include the following experience:

• Budget control
• Auditing processes in a large organisation
• Performance improvement
• Risk management
• Business continuity
• Preparation and drafting of financial and management reports for a range of audiences

• A sound knowledge of communication and customer care skills

• Ability to manage and lead a team effectively in a challenging environment

Where applicants do not hold the qualifications as outlined in 1.1 above, they must demonstrate a minimum of six years' experience in 1.2 above

In Return:

• Rates of Pay: £20.86 p/hr
