Waste Resource Management Operative - Antrim

About the Role:
Staffline is recruiting a Waste Resource Management Operative to support waste operations including kerbside collections, street cleansing, bulky waste collection, and Household Recycling Centre duties. You will ensure all tasks are carried out safely, efficiently, and to the Council's quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collect domestic and commercial refuse and recyclable containers safely.

• Assist drivers during reversing and report vehicle faults.

• Carry out street cleansing duties including litter picking, footpath cleaning, and removal of fly-tipped materials.

• Assist at Household Recycling Centres and supervise public disposal of large items.

• Carry out other duties as required, including gritting, snow clearance, and delivery of Council communications.

Requirements:

• Basic literacy and numeracy

• Valid driving licence

• Minimum 6 months' experience in a waste environment (12 months desirable)

• Flexible, organised, able to work with minimal supervision

• Knowledge of health and safety procedures and manual handling
