Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council is looking for an Outdoor Groundskeeper to help maintain parks, green spaces, and council-managed landscapes. If you enjoy landscaping, horticulture, and working in nature, this is the perfect opportunity.

Your Daily Responsibilities:

• Mow, trim, and maintain grassed areas using council equipment.
• Plant, prune, and care for trees, flowers, and shrubs.
• Ensure public spaces are safe, clean, and well-maintained.
• Assist with seasonal landscaping projects such as flower beds and winter gritting.
• Work as part of a team to support groundskeeping, repairs, and upkeep.
• Carry out general cleaning and litter collection in public areas.
• Adhere to health and safety guidelines at all times.

What We're Looking For:

• An NVQ Level 2 in Amenity Horticulture or equivalent qualification.

OR

• A minimum of 12 months' grounds maintenance experience gained within a commercial environment to include the following:

• Grass cutting, horticultural and grounds maintenance experience, including the set-up, safe use and routine maintenance of a range of horticultural equipment / machinery to include ride on grounds machinery;
• General maintenance of outdoor areas e.g. parks
• Knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and its application in the workplace to include working with a variety of plant and equipment.
• Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Ability to use gardening tools and landscaping machinery
• A positive attitude and strong teamworking skills
• A full current driving licence (Category B+E valid in the UK).
