Senior Mechanical Contracts Manager

Location: Projects Nationwide (Ireland)
Job Type: Permanent | Full-Time
Sector: Engineering / Mechanical (M&E)
Salary: Competitive, DOE

The Role

Due to continued growth, we are currently seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Contracts Manager to oversee the delivery of complex mechanical projects across Ireland. This is a senior, hands-on role suited to a strong leader who can manage multiple contracts, drive performance on site, and ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.

The successful candidate will work closely with senior management, site teams, and key stakeholders to deliver large-scale mechanical packages across sectors such as pharma, life sciences, data centres, semiconductor, industrial and commercial projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple mechanical contracts from pre-construction through to completion

  • Lead planning, programming, budgeting, cost control and forecasting activities

  • Coordinate with design, engineering and site teams to ensure project objectives are met

  • Carry out regular site visits to monitor progress, quality, and compliance

  • Ensure all works comply with health & safety legislation and industry standards

  • Manage subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams effectively

  • Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies

  • Prepare and issue monthly progress and commercial reports to senior management

  • Support tendering, proposals and bid processes for new projects

  • Build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders

Requirements

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline

  • 10+ years' experience in a Mechanical Project or Contracts Manager role

  • Strong background delivering mechanical packages (HVAC / process systems)

  • Experience on large-scale life sciences, semiconductor or data centre projects is essential

  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills

  • Strong commercial awareness and reporting experience

  • Full clean driving licence

  • Willingness to travel nationwide (and occasionally within Europe)
