At Staffline Recruitment we have a fantastic opportunity available for a Junior Technical Support Engineer to join an established, innovative organisation with offices in Dublin 12. This is a hands-on role suited to someone with a strong technical foundation who enjoys problem-solving, customer interaction, and working with both hardware and software systems.
The successful candidate will be responsible for investigating and resolving technical issues, supporting customers, and working closely with colleagues both locally and internationally to deliver effective technical solutions
This Junior role is a full time, permanent position that will pay a salary in the region of €35,000.
Key Responsibilities
- Investigate and resolve technical issues reported by customers or end-users through log analysis, diagnostics, and troubleshooting
- Perform hands-on diagnostics with hardware and software products, including marking and installation product ranges
- Communicate with customers primarily via email and phone, providing clear updates and step-by-step guidance
- Liaise with colleagues based at head office to obtain technical information and solutions
- Participate in ongoing product training to build expertise across the product portfolio
- Create and maintain internal technical documentation, service logs, product changes, comparisons, and discontinuations
- Work closely with colleagues both locally and internationally to support customers and internal teams
- Manage escalation of complex or unresolved issues to higher-level support
- Assist customers with product setup, training, and best-practice advice
- Be flexible in taking on additional responsibilities as required
- Travel within Ireland and occasionally abroad, as required by the role
Applicants will meet the following requirements:
- Technical qualification in Electrical, Engineering, or IT/Communications
- 1-2 years of relevant experience is highly desirable
- Strong organisational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritise multiple issues
- Proven technical aptitude with the ability to develop a deep understanding of electrical systems, hardware, software, and networks
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail with a structured, analytical approach to problem-solving
- Ability to clearly communicate technical information to customers and colleagues with varying levels of technical knowledge
- Willingness to stay current with emerging technologies
- Excellent computer skills with strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Knowledge or experience with CRM systems
- Full, clean Irish driving licence
