Accounts Assistant | Fixed-Term Contract (9-12 Months) | Citywest, Dublin 24

Our client, a well-established company operating within the engineering sector, based in Citywest, Dublin, is seeking to recruit an experienced Accounts Assistant to join their team on a 9-12 month contract basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a suitably qualified individual seeking an immediate start to join a busy and professional organisation.

This is a fully office-based role, with on-site parking available. There is also the possibility of a 4-day working week for the right candidate.

The role is offering an hourly rate of circa €19-20 per hour, depending on experience.

The Role

Reporting to the Director, this is a hands-on position responsible for the day-to-day operation of the finance function. The Accounts Assistant will manage core bookkeeping activities while also providing support to the wider finance and operational teams.

Hours of Work

Monday to Thursday: 8am - 5.00pm | Friday: 8am-4pm
(Potential for a 4-day week)

Responsibilities

• Maintenance of debtors and creditors ledgers
• Bank account reconciliations
• Month-end procedures
• Assisting with purchase invoices
• Supporting monthly payroll
• Assisting audit file
• Other ad hoc accounts and administration duties as required

Key Skills Required

• Previous experience in a busy finance/accounts role is essential
• Excellent analytical and numerical skills with strong attention to detail
• Strong IT and technical skills, with proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Sage
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to self-manage, prioritise workload and work effectively as part of a team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
