Location: Adult Residential Services, Northern Ireland
Contract: Permanent
Hours: Full-time - 38 hours per week (rota-based, including evenings and weekends) 7am-10pm

About the Service
We provide person-centred residential support to adults with learning disabilities, autism, and complex needs, including behaviours that may challenge. Our services focus on dignity, independence, wellbeing, and meaningful daily living within a safe, therapeutic, and supportive environment.
We are now recruiting Senior Support Workers and Support Workers to join our adult residential teams.
Role 1: Support Worker
Purpose of the Role
Support Workers play a vital role in delivering high-quality, person-centred care and support to adults living within residential services. You will assist individuals with daily living, personal care, community involvement, and wellbeing, while promoting choice, independence, and dignity.
Key Responsibilities
Provide person-centred support in line with individual care plans
Assist with personal care, daily routines, and domestic tasks
Support social, emotional, and physical wellbeing
Promote independence, choice, and inclusion
Support individuals in home and community-based activities
Maintain accurate records and report concerns appropriately
Work effectively as part of a team
Follow organisational policies, safeguarding, and health & safety procedures
Participate in training, supervision, and professional development
Role 2: Senior Support Worker
Purpose of the Role
Senior Support Workers support the delivery of high-quality care while providing leadership and guidance within the residential team. You will assist Group Leaders / Coordinators and take operational responsibility in their absence, ensuring continuity of care and safe service delivery.
Additional Responsibilities
Provide day-to-day guidance, mentoring, and support to staff
"Act up" in the absence of the Group Leader / Coordinator
Support staff induction, supervision, and development
Assist with care planning, risk management, and reviews
Liaise with external professionals and partner agencies
Ensure safe medication management and accurate reporting
Support rota coordination and attendance reporting when required
Promote best practice, dignity, and person-centred care across the service
Essential Criteria
Support Worker
Experience in a caring or support role (paid or relevant voluntary experience)
Ability to provide personal care and support individuals with complex needs
Good communication and teamwork skills
Caring, reliable, and professional approach
Willingness to work rota-based shifts, including weekends
Registered with, or willing to register with, the Northern Ireland Social Care Council
Senior Support Worker (in addition to the above)
Minimum 1 year's experience in a health, social care, or educational support role
Relevant qualification (QCF Level 3 or equivalent in Health & Social Care or related field)
Experience supporting individuals with disabilities and challenging behaviour
Leadership, mentoring, or supervisory experience
Ability to work under pressure and make decisions when required

Competitive incremental pay scales
Support Worker: 4-point scale
Senior Support Worker: 5-point scale (£27,011 - £28,612 per annum)
Enhanced rates for weekends and unsocial hours (15%)
