Purchasing Administrator

Staffline Ireland are recruiting for a Purchasing Administrator on behalf of an industry leader in Uk's & Irelands Building Services sector. The purchasing admin will play a key part in the company's procurement team, adopting a proactive approach to maintaining quality standards while optimising value and reducing risk across all projects.

Responsibilities:

  • To provide full administration support to a busy purchasing department
  • Process and record a large number of documents daily, including uploading purchase orders to project folders.
  • To be responsible for all paperwork relating to incoming / outgoing deliveries including all necessary customs declarations
  • To provide information by collecting, analyzing and summarizing data / trends
  • Completing new supplier vendor forms
  • Maintain procurement systems and ensure compliance with the agreed procedures. Job Description - Management Accountant- 2023 Page 2 of 3
  • Working as part of a team and on own initiative to ensure that all information is correct and accurate on all systems.
  • Actively following up on outstanding order confirmations, maintaining accurate documentation, and monitoring returns and overdue orders.
  • To maintain high standards of work within the department.

Essential requirements:

  • Good Microsoft Office skills - to include Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Ability to take ownership of their duties and a willingness to grow and learn within their team and the company.
  • 5 GCSEs at Grade C or above or equivalent, these must include Mathematics and English Language
  • Minimum 3 years previous experience in a similar administration role
  • Demonstrate a good ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Good communication & literacy skills.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English is essential

Desirable Criteria:

  • Previous experience working in a construction, engineering, or manufacturing background.

Working Hours: Monday-Thursday 8am-5pm and Friday 8am-3pm
