Are you a detail-oriented finance professional with strong accounting and organisational skills? We are currently seeking an Accounts Technician to join a well-established manufacturing company based near Croom, Co. Limerick. This is a full-time, permanent position.
Organisation
Our client is a long-established and highly respected Irish-owned manufacturer with over 35 years' experience supplying innovative precast concrete solutions to the construction and agricultural sectors. Known for their commitment to quality, sustainability, and operational excellence, the company continues to grow and invest in its people, systems, and processes. Due to ongoing development, they are now looking to strengthen their Finance team with the addition of an Accounts Technician.
Responsibilities
The Accounts Technician will support the Financial Manager in the day-to-day management of accounting operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting. Key responsibilities include:
- Processing supplier invoices, customer payments, and journals accurately and within deadlines;
- Reconciling bank, credit card, and control accounts on a monthly basis;
- Supporting the preparation of monthly management accounts, including journals, accruals, and prepayments;
- Maintaining accurate ledgers and financial records across ERP and accounting systems;
- Assisting with VAT, payroll, and statutory returns;
- Supporting internal and external audits by preparing and maintaining relevant documentation;
- Monitoring debtors, managing payments, and maintaining supplier and customer records;
- Contributing to budgeting, forecasting, and continuous improvement initiatives within the finance function.

Criteria
- Qualified or part-qualified Accounts Technician (ATI, IATI, or equivalent);
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in an accounting or finance role;
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and reconciliation processes;
- High level of attention to detail and organisational skills;
- Proficiency in Excel and experience using ERP or accounting systems;
- Experience with payroll, VAT and Intrastat would be highly beneficial.
