About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Staff Nurse to join our Nursing Home team in Malahide. The successful candidate will provide high-quality nursing care to residents, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being in a supportive and friendly environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred nursing care to residents in line with best practices and NMBI standards.

• Monitor and assess residents' health, administer medications, and manage care plans.

• Support residents with daily living activities as needed.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation.

• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team including care assistants, therapists, and doctors.

• Ensure adherence to infection control, health, and safety standards.

• Communicate effectively with residents' families and provide updates on health and wellbeing.

• Participate in training and professional development programs.

Requirements

• Active NMBI Registration (PIN or in process).

• Recognised Nursing Qualification (RGN preferred).

• Experience in a Nursing Home or Elderly Care setting is highly desirable.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

Desirable Qualifications / Skills

• Additional training in dementia care, palliative care, or gerontology.

• Experience in long-term care or complex care needs.

• BLS / ACLS certification.
