About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate ICU Staff Nurse to join our dynamic Intensive Care team in Dublin. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering specialised, high-quality care to critically ill patients in a fast-paced and supportive clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients requiring close monitoring and advanced life support.
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
Monitor vital signs, ventilators, infusion pumps, and other ICU equipment.
Administer medications and treatments safely according to hospital guidelines.
Maintain accurate and detailed clinical documentation.
Communicate effectively with patients' families, offering support and updates.
Adhere to infection control policies and safety procedures at all times.
Respond promptly and effectively to medical emergencies.
Participate in ongoing training, simulation exercises, and professional development.
Requirements
Active NMBI Registration (PIN or in process).
Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Nursing (RGN).
Minimum 1 year ICU or Critical Care experience preferred.
Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Ability to work in a high-pressure environment with attention to detail.
Up-to-date BLS; ACLS desirable.
Desirable Qualifications
Postgraduate qualification in Critical Care Nursing (advantage but not essential).
Experience with mechanical ventilation, invasive monitoring, and emergency response.
Previous Irish or UK ICU experience.
