About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate ICU Staff Nurse to join our dynamic Intensive Care team in Dublin. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering specialised, high-quality care to critically ill patients in a fast-paced and supportive clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients requiring close monitoring and advanced life support.

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.

• Monitor vital signs, ventilators, infusion pumps, and other ICU equipment.

• Administer medications and treatments safely according to hospital guidelines.

• Maintain accurate and detailed clinical documentation.

• Communicate effectively with patients' families, offering support and updates.

• Adhere to infection control policies and safety procedures at all times.

• Respond promptly and effectively to medical emergencies.

• Participate in ongoing training, simulation exercises, and professional development.

Requirements

• Active NMBI Registration (PIN or in process).

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Nursing (RGN).

• Minimum 1 year ICU or Critical Care experience preferred.

• Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills.

• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

• Ability to work in a high-pressure environment with attention to detail.

• Up-to-date BLS; ACLS desirable.

Desirable Qualifications

• Postgraduate qualification in Critical Care Nursing (advantage but not essential).

• Experience with mechanical ventilation, invasive monitoring, and emergency response.

• Previous Irish or UK ICU experience.
