Location: Prison Healthcare Pharmacy, HMP Maghabery

Hours: 37.5 hrs per week

Pay Rate: £19.10

Requirements:

• MPharm or equivalent.
• Completed and passed pre-registration year and professional exam.
• Member of the Pharmaceutical Society of Northern Ireland or eligible for membership
• Hold a current full driving licence which is valid for use in the UK
• CTC check carried out.

Job Overview

We are seeking a pharmacist to join the South Eastern Trust Health and Social Care team.

To assist in the provision of a comprehensive, high quality and efficient pharmacy service to the Prison Healthcare. The post holder will work as an effective member of the pharmacy team providing comprehensive pharmaceutical services, including Medicines Management and dispensary duties.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure the appropriate interpretation of prescriptions prior to their preparation in the pharmacy.
• Provide a prescription monitoring service including identification of adverse drug reactions, drug related events, drug interactions and rationalisation of medicines
• Assess and manage patient's own drugs to ensure effective prescribing and patient safety at all times
• Comply with all relevant registration and Continuing Professional Development requirements
