Calling all Trainers….!!

Our exciting position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development and delivery of hands-on and theoretical training programs focused on construction best practices and sustainability. The role requires strong communication skills, adaptability, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient training environment while supporting ongoing learning and product development.

Previous Experience working in the Construction sector is Trainer is preferable but not essential.

Construction Knowledge or experience is essential.

Training Instructor - Construction Industry

Job Purpose

With a strong emphasis on communication, agility and responsiveness, support the preparation, development and delivery of practical and theoretical based product, construction best practice and sustainable industry themed training initiatives with the client's Technical Academy.

Key Accountabilities

  • Maintain safe training environment and working practices
  • Delivery of practical and theoretical training sessions
  • Prepare and maintain training displays and practical support materials
  • Maintaining tools and equipment in safe working order

Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting Technical Academy and Commercial Sales Teams in organising training activity with relevant stakeholders
  • Communication as necessary with training attendees before and after training activities
  • Support the team in ensuring up-to-date content on Technical Academy website, web-portal and within Salesforce CMS system.
  • Support the accurate reporting of Technical Academy training activity.
  • Maintaining up to date knowledge and skills of relevant regulations, standards and working practices
  • Input and support the Technical Academy in the ideation and development of maintaining existing and creation of new training initiatives
  • Transportation of training materials between Academies and for external demonstrations
  • Supporting the Products and Systems Team in the development of new product development as required

Qualifications required to fulfil the role

  • Construction industry qualifications with suitably rounded experience, preferably relevant to internal dry-lining and/or fabric first energy efficiency installation practices.
  • ICT competence with proficiency in MS Office

Specific work experience required to fulfil the role

  • Can demonstrate safe working practices and practical operation of experience using tools and equipment associated with their construction experience plastering and dry-lining practices
  • Excellent communication skills - stakeholder relevant
  • Reading, interpretation and communication of technical drawings.
  • Presentation skills - ability to clearly convey both technical and practical orientated topics with authority to large groups and audiences.
  • An eye for accuracy and detail.
  • Can work well in a team environment to help deliver key results and business goals.
  • Knowledge of current construction practices, ideally in the areas of dry-lining or fabric first energy efficiency.
  • Broad understanding of current Building Regulations and performance attributes associated with client's key products and systems
  • Willingness to engage and learn new construction practices (as relevant), in accordance with current development, standards and regulations.
