Team Leader - Adult Day Services
📍 Holywood | 40 hours/week | Monday - Friday | 8:30am - 4:30pm
💷 Starting salary: £29,577 per annum (Scale with progression available)

Are you an experienced, compassionate professional looking to make a meaningful impact in the lives of adults with learning disabilities and complex needs?

An award-winning, person-centred adult services provider in Northern Ireland is seeking a Team Leader to join their Adult Day Services team. This community-based organization operates within a therapeutic rural environment and is committed to holistic care, inclusion, lifelong learning, and development of individual potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality care to adults with complex needs

  • Coordinate meaningful group and individual activities

  • Assess and review service user needs and support plans

  • Mentor, supervise, and develop staff performance

  • Liaise with families, carers, and professionals

  • Maintain compliance with safeguarding, RQIA, and internal standards

  • Ensure health & safety and uphold therapeutic values

  • Support administrative processes including record-keeping and petty cash management

Essential Criteria

  • QCF Level 3/4 (or equivalent) in Health & Social Care or related field (Education, Youth Work, etc.)

  • Minimum 1 year's paid experience in a care/support role in the past 2 years

  • Experience in personal care and supporting individuals with learning disabilities and behaviours of concern

  • Supervisory, coaching, or mentoring experience

  • Strong communication, organisation, and motivation skills

  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (unless a disability exemption applies)

  • Willingness to register with the Northern Ireland Social Care Council (NISCC)
