Spray Painter

Staffline are looking for time served Spray Painters with plenty of experience to join the team at Wrightbus. The ideal candidate will have good knowledge of clear over base and 2 pack paint along with the ability to spot and repair dents/issues with the paintwork. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to progress.

Rate of pay: £15.50, 25% shift allowance for nights and weekends.

Hours of work: Continental shift pattern with alternative weekly shifts.

Week 1: 6am - 6pm, Monday to Wednesday
Week 2: 6pm - 6am, Monday to Wednesday
Week 3: 6am - 6pm, Thursday to Saturday

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the marking out and spraying of Basecoat and Direct gloss colours.
• Responsible for any touch up repairs and small paint repairs, prior to sign-off and vehicle delivery.
• Responsible for assisting paint preparation i.e., marking up vehicles prior to paint.
• Responsible for the safe operation of plant, equipment and/or hand tools associated with the paint preparation & paint processes.
• Responsible for compliance with the company's Health and Safety policy procedures.
• Responsible for undertaking training or retraining associated with the post or the introduction of new working practices.
• Undertake any other duties conducive with the effective operation of the post.

Essential Criteria:

• Time Served Spray Painter.
• Experience of Spray Painting with Preparation knowledge.
• Knowledge of Clear over base and 2 pack paint.
• Repairs to minor dents.
• Spot repairs to paintwork.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Willing to undertake training as required.
• An awareness of general Health and Safety rules.
• Proven ability to be flexible, working overtime and changing shift patterns as required.

Desirable:

• Experience within commercial or car industry.
• Knowledge of templates & marking out vehicles.
