Receptionist
We are seeking a professional and welcoming Receptionist to join our team. As the first point of contact for the business, you will play a key role in creating a positive impression for visitors, guests, and colleagues. This position requires someone who is personable, highly organised, and able to maintain confidentiality while delivering excellent front-of-house and administrative support.
Key Responsibilities
Operate a busy multi-line switchboard, answering and forwarding calls promptly and professionally.
Welcome visitors and guests, ensuring a professional first impression and assisting with the purpose of their visit.
Direct, organise, or accompany guests to their destination as required.
Monitor visitor access, issuing passes and keeping accurate records.
Handle incoming and outgoing mail, messages, and ad-hoc deliveries.
Provide administrative and secretarial support, including photocopying, document preparation, and assistance to senior management.
Support with ad-hoc bookings and additional administrative tasks as needed.
Undertake other duties in line with business requirements.
Essential Skills & Experience
Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in a receptionist or front-of-house role.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently at all levels.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
High levels of accuracy, attention to detail, and discretion.
Self-motivated, adaptable, and comfortable in a busy working environment.
Desirable Skills & Experience
A business-related qualification or degree.
Previous experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
