QUANTITY SURVEYOR | WEXFORD | PERMANENT

THE ROLE|

RESPONSIBILITIES|

Project Cost Management:
Evaluate and validate tender budgets, ensuring all scope is included and potential risks are identified. Create and update detailed cost plans weekly. Oversee subcontractor accounts, interim valuations, and final settlements, ensuring payments are processed according to contractual terms. Provide weekly and monthly commercial project reports, covering cost plans, cash flow forecasts, schedules, and risk assessments, and present to senior management during monthly reviews.

Contract Management:
Draft, negotiate, and review contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers, ensuring adherence to contractual terms. Handle contract changes, variations, claims, and disputes. Process interim and final accounts, ensuring accuracy in remeasures, site changes, day works, and contract claims. Work closely with the Project Planner and Manager to ensure accurate progress updates.

Procurement:
Collaborate with the Project and Procurement Teams to manage the procurement process, selecting suppliers and subcontractors. Assess and negotiate tenders to secure the best value and ensure all subcontract orders comply with company procedures. Oversee supplier relationships and monitor performance.

Risk Management:
Identify, assess, and manage project risks, implementing strategies for mitigation throughout the project life cycle. Document and communicate risk management activities effectively. Alert Senior Management to potential commercial risks and follow their guidance on risk-related decisions.

Client Management:
Work closely with clients, project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met. Negotiate commercial and contractual matters and actively participate in project meetings. Foster strong, collaborative relationships with all project participants and manage interim commercial meetings.

Team Leadership and Development:
Work both independently and as part of a team to successfully execute project stages. Lead and mentor junior surveyors and team members, setting a strong example of dedication and enthusiasm. Drive the adoption of best practices and encourage a culture of continuous improvement within the team.
