Production Supervisor

My client, a Galway based Medical Device organisation, are looking to seeking to hire a Production Supervisor.

The successful person will report into the Group Production Lead and will suit someone who has managed a team in a production environment.

This is a permanent role based on-site in Galway City.

Responsibilities

• People management, understand your team & motivate.
• Meet production schedule.
• Review production KPI's & benchmark vs the expected.
• Through Lean Principles or Six Sigma, focus on improving the production process & effectiveness.
• Record any downtime or production stoppages.
• Ensuring compliance in H&S, GDP & GMP.
• Drive EH&S initiatives as required, and on a continuous basis, and ensure housekeeping meets requirements in line with 5S principles.
• Support / drive continuous improvements in the work area, through problem solving, daily team meetings, focusing on issues and problems that impact production.

Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years direct supervisory experience in a team environment.
• Knowledge of GMP, GDP and regulatory requirements.
• LEAN/Six Sigma trained.
• Understanding of budgeting, cost savings and the impact of downtime.
