Quality Engineer
Staffline Recruitment Ireland, on behalf of our client, is seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to join a dynamic and innovative team in Shannon, Co. Clare.
This role is integral to maintaining and enhancing the quality standards of a fast-paced, multi-national manufacturing environment.

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities
Quality Assurance and Compliance:
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality management systems in compliance with ISO9001 and AS9100 standards.
- Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with industry and customer requirements.
- Collaborate with production teams to monitor and improve product quality, ensuring adherence to documented processes and procedures.
- Oversee the preparation and submission of customer-specific quality documentation, including first article inspection reports (FAIR) and certificates of conformance.
Problem-Solving and Root Cause Analysis:
- Lead investigations into non-conformances, customer complaints, and internal quality issues.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Support cross-functional teams to address and resolve quality concerns effectively.
Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.
- Participate in lean manufacturing initiatives and support 5S practices to maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Use statistical methods and quality tools to monitor performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Customer and Supplier Collaboration:
- Serve as the primary quality contact for customers, addressing quality-related queries and ensuring satisfaction.
- Work closely with suppliers to ensure incoming materials meet required specifications and standards.
- Conduct supplier audits and support supplier development programs.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, quality management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a quality engineering role within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of quality management systems, standards (ISO9001, AS9100), and regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency in quality tools and techniques such as FMEA, SPC, and root cause analysis.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a detail-oriented approach.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with quality management software is an advantage.
