Process Operator

PROCESS OPERATOR required for our client who are a long established family business in Ballymena. The Company processes chemicals used predominantly in the Water Treatment Industry.

We currently have a vacancy for a Process Operator for the following shift:

Monday - Friday 10am - 6.30pm (40-hour week)

The successful candidate will undergo approximately 12 weeks of training during which the rate of pay will be £12.50 per hour.

As the operator becomes competent in each process, this rate increases incrementally to £13.50 per hour.

The successful candidate will occasionally be required to work an alternative shift to cover holidays or operational requirements and therefore flexibility is required.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
* Production of chemicals as required by the business for use in water and sewage treatment facilities
* Testing of product samples in laboratory
* Routine maintenance
* Accurate and timely upkeep of records including production data
* Good housekeeping

Key requirements of Role:
* Forklift training carried out within last 3 years
* Loading shovel training carried out within last 3 years
* Flexible attitude to shifts and overtime if required

Forklift and loading shovel training will be arranged in the absence of evidence of the above.
