The Opportunity
Our client, one of Ireland's leading providers of care services for individuals with learning disabilities, autism, and dementia, has a fantastic opportunity within their Payroll Team as a Payroll Specialist. The successful applicant will provide effective and timely payroll service to all company employees along with with the relevant tax and other regulatory authorities.
Moreover, the ideal applicant will have fantastic attention to detail and top-tier communication skills with the ability to communicate with individuals at all levels within the organisation.
Responsibilities
Accurately enter all necessary data into payroll systems (i.e SAGE) to ensure correct salary payments.
Process staff expense claims, verifying mileage rates, additional hours worked, and sleep-over allowances.
Handle sick leave calculations, including statutory and occupational sick pay.
Determine, document, and administer statutory entitlements for maternity and paternity leave.
Support the tracking and payment of all deductions due to the Government and external agencies, including Income Tax, National Insurance, and Pension contributions.
Carry out monthly payroll account reconciliations as requested by the Finance Department.
Investigate any staff over payments and ensure the recovery of funds.
Provide timely and professional responses both written and verbal to payroll-related queries from staff.
Criteria
- Strong knowledge of payroll processes, HMRC regulations, and auto-enrolment.
- Proficient in MS Office with solid experience using payroll software and databases.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Extensive knowledge of statutory regulations.
- Experience with ROI payroll is advantageous.
- CIPP qualified or a minimum of two years of payroll experience.
