Finance Manager (Fixed Term - 12 Months)

Location: Belfast Head Office (Hybrid Working)

Hours: 35 hours per week

About Us!

A leading not-for-profit organisation dedicated to supporting children, young people, and families across Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland, entering an exciting phase of growth. In line with their ambitious 5-year strategy, they are seeking a Finance Manager to lead their finance function during a pivotal 12-month transition period.

This is more than just a finance role - it's an opportunity to drive meaningful change and help shape the future of a values-led organisation, making a real difference.

About the Role

As Finance Manager, you will play a key leadership role in ensuring the smooth and efficient delivery of all financial operations, while contributing strategically at a senior level. You'll work closely with their Interim Director of Finance and Operational Management Team, leading a skilled finance team and ensuring their work is underpinned by strong financial governance, robust reporting, and insightful analysis.

Who We're Looking For

You are a qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, CAI, CIPFA or equivalent) with proven experience managing finance teams and leading financial operations. You bring strong analytical skills, a solutions-focused mindset, and the ability to communicate financial insights clearly to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.

You'll also bring:

  • Strong experience in budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
  • A deep understanding of financial controls and risk management.
  • Excellent Excel and financial systems skills.
  • A collaborative approach, aligned to our mission and values.
  • Desirable: Charity or not-for-profit experience, knowledge of Charity SORP, or grant/donor financial reporting.

Why Join?

  • Be part of a passionate, purpose-led organisation that supports families when they need it most.
  • Enjoy hybrid working with a supportive and flexible culture.
  • Use your expertise to influence real-world impact and strategic direction.
  • Work with a committed team in a values-driven environment.
