Office Assistant, Ballygawley

£11.44 (increasing after training)

Hours of Work: Mon - Thur 8am-5pm, Fri finish at 12pm

Duties

  • Receipt and processing of sales orders, including arrangements for despatch.
  • Assist with invoicing and stock control duties.
  • Handle telephone enquiries, take messages and redirect as necessary, in an efficient and professional manner.
  • Greet and respond to customers in a professional, friendly and efficient manner.
  • Undertake basic computer activities, including maintenance of sales & purchase ledgers and compilation of information for monthly management accounts.
  • Process information relating to wages and salaries and ensure correct deductions/credits are made.
  • Responsible for all aspects of credit control within the company and ensuring procedures are followed.
  • Maintain efficient and effective financial and administrative systems within the office.
  • Maintain and update computerised and non-computerised records.
  • Any other duties within reason and capability associated with this position.

Essential Criteria

  • Word processing/typing qualification.
  • Basic level of secondary education including Maths and English GCSE or equivalent.
  • Experience in dealing with customers and suppliers
  • Computer literate in MS Office
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Aptitude for figures and organising systems
  • Results focused with ability to work on own initiative

Desirable

  • Additional courses in business administration or accounting
  • Experience in a varied administrative/accounting role
  • Computer literate in Sage
