Job description
Office Assistant, Ballygawley
£11.44 (increasing after training)
Hours of Work: Mon - Thur 8am-5pm, Fri finish at 12pm
Duties
- Receipt and processing of sales orders, including arrangements for despatch.
- Assist with invoicing and stock control duties.
- Handle telephone enquiries, take messages and redirect as necessary, in an efficient and professional manner.
- Greet and respond to customers in a professional, friendly and efficient manner.
- Undertake basic computer activities, including maintenance of sales & purchase ledgers and compilation of information for monthly management accounts.
- Process information relating to wages and salaries and ensure correct deductions/credits are made.
- Responsible for all aspects of credit control within the company and ensuring procedures are followed.
- Maintain efficient and effective financial and administrative systems within the office.
- Maintain and update computerised and non-computerised records.
- Any other duties within reason and capability associated with this position.
Essential Criteria
- Word processing/typing qualification.
- Basic level of secondary education including Maths and English GCSE or equivalent.
- Experience in dealing with customers and suppliers
- Computer literate in MS Office
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Aptitude for figures and organising systems
- Results focused with ability to work on own initiative
Desirable
- Additional courses in business administration or accounting
- Experience in a varied administrative/accounting role
- Computer literate in Sage
