Nurse Manager - Occupational Health

Full time/perm post, 4 days per week (between Monday and Friday) and reporting to the Service Nurse Manager.

Our client, one of Ireland's leading private healthcare providers in Occupational Health Services is seeking an experienced Nurse Manager to join one of their large sites based in Cork.

The role will ideally suit qualified nurses who have experience working in Occupational Health who are looking to move into a more managerial role working with an established Occupational Health team and supporting the onsite client with health surveillance and workplace safety.

Key Duties:

• Responsible for continuous employee health monitoring.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, conduct regular audits and risk assessments to identify hazards in the workplace and recommend improvements.
• Track and manage employee health data, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with regulations.
• Manage return-to-work programs for employees recovering from illness or injury.
• Lead the response to workplace injuries or illnesses by providing first aid, arranging medical treatment, and ensuring proper documentation.
• Ensure the company follows proper procedures for reporting incidents.
• Offer counselling and support to employees dealing with work-related stress or other personal issues affecting work performance.
• Work closely with other departments like HR, legal, risk management, and senior management to create a comprehensive health and safety strategy.

Essential Criteria:

• Must be fully registered with An Bord Altranais/NMBI and have an active PIN.
• Relevant Occupational Health experience in a nurse capacity is essential for this role.
• Occupational Health qualification would be desirable.
