Staffline Recruitment Ireland is seeking a Mechanical Engineer with experience in plant maintenance and large-scale improvement projects. This is a full time permanent role based in Limerick.

Responsibilities:
As a Mechanical Engineer, you will play a key role in maintaining plant operations and driving improvement projects. Main responsibilities include:
- Working as part of a multidisciplinary maintenance team;
- Taking responsibility for a specific plant process area;
- Overseeing preventative and predictive maintenance schedules;
- Planning and coordinating major plant shutdowns and overhauls;
- Managing contractors on assigned projects;
- Troubleshooting issues to improve plant availability and performance;
- Ensuring continuous improvement of safety and environmental standards;
- Scoping, installing, and commissioning large-scale plant improvement projects.

Criteria:
- Qualification in Mechanical Engineering (or related discipline);
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role within heavy industry;
- Strong knowledge of Health and Safety practices;
- Proven technical expertise with strong commercial awareness;
- Proficiency in MS Office and AutoCAD;
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills;
- Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.
