Staffline Recruitment is recruiting a full-time, permanent Site Engineer in the South-West region. This role is an excellent opportunity for a graduate or early-career engineer to contribute to a variety of civil projects across Cork, Clare, Limerick, and Kerry.

Organisation

This company is a well-established civil engineering contractor with a strong track record in delivering complex infrastructure projects across Ireland. Operating in a dynamic, project-driven environment, they pride themselves on technical expertise, quality, and efficiency. Due to ongoing growth, they are now seeking a Site Engineer to join their team and play an important role in delivering key projects across Cork, Clare, Limerick, and Kerry.

Responsibilities

The Site Engineer will be based on site, supervising crews of 3-5 operatives and supporting the successful delivery of civil works projects. Responsibilities include:

  • Oversee and coordinate day-to-day site operations, including general civils / GS work, ensuring works are carried out safely, efficiently, and to specification.
  • Provide technical input and support, including interpreting and working with technical drawings.
  • Ensure compliance with Health, Safety & Quality (HSQ) standards and site procedures.
  • Liaise with site management, subcontractors, and operatives to meet project deadlines and quality standards.
  • Record site activities, progress, and reporting as required.
  • Work closely with senior engineers and management to develop practical experience and career growth.

Criteria

  • Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field;
  • Graduate to 2-3 years' relevant site-based experience (experience in water/ water waste is advantageous);
  • Flexible to work on projects across Cork, Clare, Limerick, and Kerry;
  • Full, Clean driving license;
  • Must be fully eligible to work in Ireland (sponsorship is not available).
